Castles, battlefields, museums, towns and villages, great houses and simple crofts, churches and gravevards, we can show your visitors where and how their ancestors or people they have read about in history books lived, loved, worked and died.

Travelling in anything from 11 seater mini-buses to 59 seat coaches with on-bus toilets, depending on the route to be followed, parties will be collected from and returned to their cruise ships, hotels or other agreed venues and meeting points. A full narrative accompanies the journey, highlighting interesting points on the route. A guided tour is given at all stop-over points and the entire tour is accompanied by fully explanatory notes and where appropriate route maps and illustrations. Longer tours are punctuated with stops for morning coffee, lunch and afternoon tea and where appropriate a suitable period to visit local book and gift shops for souvenirs.

Mark Sutherland-Fisher has some twenty years experience as a genealogist and family historian and has for the past ten years been organising coach and other tours for parties ranging from twenty to one hundred and fifty people, in various parts of the Highlands. Trying to create a balanced view of some of the Highlands most famous and infamous events, he depicts the history of the time, often placing it into a modern context and encouraging those on his parties to try and place themselves in the shoes of the people they are learning about.
